Dr. Earl Naumann, author of Love at First Sight, interviewed and surveyed 1,500 individuals of all races, religions, and backgrounds all across America, and concluded that love at first sight is not a rare experience. What’s more, Dr. Naumann theorizes that if you believe in love at first sight, there’s a roughly 60 percent chance it will happen to you. Here’s what led him to that conclusion:
- Nearly two thirds of the population believes in love at first sight.
- Of the believers, more than half have experienced it.
- Fifty-five percent of those who experienced it married the object of their affection.
- Three quarters of these married couples stayed married.
I’m one of your statistics, Nick. Love at first sight — met Brian at a baseball game on Toronto Island. Saw him from afar and HOPED he was the man my sister had been telling me about. He was. Married him two years later. Twenty-seven years and five children later, we’re still married. Not a bad statistic these days.
Dido here. I was travelling in Ireland and asked a young man riding his bike for directions. We were married a year later and we’ve married almost 19 years!
Glad I got lost 😉
Same here. Met him, went out a couple of days later…married 3 mos to the day of our first date. 34 yrs, 2 children and 2 granddogs later we are still very much in love
Aren’t we blessed?
